Morris Shapland Financial Services Ltd has proudly sponsored Bideford RFC since the 2000/2001 season.

We have endeavored to support the club via our sponsorship every year which has now become a permanent fixture in our annual calendar of events.

Two of our directors, Andrew Mackenzie-Shapland and James Buckland have enjoyed success with the Bideford Chiefs over the years. Andrew was captain of the first team in 2003/04, 2004/05, 2009/10 and 2010/11, having great success by winning the Devon and Cornwall league twice (2001 & 2011), Devon Junior Cup (2008) and Devon Intermediate Cup (2011 & 2012).

James enjoyed playing rugby for Bideford First team from 2006-2018 and played his part in winning the Devon and Cornwall League (2011), Devon Intermediate Cup (2011 & 2012), gaining promotion from Cornwall and Devon 1 (2011) and Western Counties (2013). 

Fellow directors Stephen Morris and Mark Cox have represented the club at mini and senior level.

The company also has strong roots with Royal North Devon Golf Club with all directors, as well as Julian Baker, Kiaran Tanton and Ethan Jeffery holding current memberships there and supporting the club in numerous events and matches.
